Surimono Prints: Paul Jacoulet

During the late 1940's and 1950's, Jacoulet published sixteen miniature prints referred to as surimonos. Orchidees Blanches, Jaiuit and La Cruche, Mongolie were both original designs, while the others were smaller copies of already popular limited edition prints. Jacoulet's surimono prints were produced in large unlimited editions for use as inexpensive souvenirs or holiday cards. Many of these small designs are difficult to find today and are sought after by Jacoulet collectors.
